Our History
South Putnam Animal Hospital was established in 1984 by Drs. Cindy Kosacz and Kathi Heiber. We attend to the health care needs of dogs, cats, ferrets, bunnies and pocket pets.
In 1996, we were nationally recognized by Veterinary Economics magazine and Pfizer Animal Health, Inc. as a "Practice of Excellence". This award was presented to us to honor our high standards of Veterinary care and hospital management.
We are honored to have been accepted by the New York State Veterinary Society as an accredited animal hospital. To earn accreditation we were evaluated by a representative of the Society on many different levels. The accreditation designation signifies a commitment to excellence in quality patient care, veterinary facility professionalism, appearance, and maintenance.
There are more than 900 veterinary facilities in New York state, and only one--third of these facilities are accredited by NYSVMS.
This honor was achieved by the hard work and dedication of our doctors and staff. It reflects our commitment to offer you excellent service and provide your pet with the best possible health care available.
Our Mission Statement
South Putnam Animal Hospital is to provide the best possible care to animals while educating our clients as to the proper care of their pets, and to treat our clients as they wish to be treated.
